Clément Hervieu-Léger, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Malandain Ballet Biarritz National Choreographic Center

Following the appointment of Ms. Catherine Pégard as Minister of Culture, Mr. Clément Hervieu-Léger was elected, on Thursday, March 5, as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Malandain Ballet Biarritz.
The members of the Board warmly thanked Ms. Catherine Pégard for her commitment to the National Choreographic Center of Biarritz, founded by choreographer Thierry Malandain, of which she had been President since 2020. Mr. Clément Hervieu-Léger, General Administrator of the Comédie-Française, has been a member of the Board since 2023.

Clément Hervieu-Léger
General Administrator of the Comédie-Française since August 2025, Clément Hervieu-Léger is an actor, director, and teacher. Trained at the Conservatory of the 10th arrondissement of Paris, he first performed at the Comédie-Française in 2000, joined the troupe in 2005, became a full member in 2018, and an honorary member on January 1, 2026. He performs many roles from both the classical and contemporary repertoire and also works in cinema. Alongside acting, he directs for theatre and opera, notably at the Comédie-Française and with the Compagnie des Petits-Champs, which he founded in 2010 with Daniel San Pedro. He had a ten-year collaboration with Patrice Chéreau as assistant, dramaturg, actor, and co-author of books. Clément Hervieu-Léger has chaired the Theatre History Society since 2021. His connection to dance, visible in his latest production (L’École de danse de Goldoni), dates back to his initial training. Sensitive to the dialogue between the arts, he also teaches theatre at the Paris Opera Dance School.
