Income distribution in 2017

As a National Choreographic Centre of Aquitaine in Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the Malandain Ballet Biarritz receive funds from the DRAC Aquitaine / Ministry of Culture, the City of Biarritz, the Region of Aquitaine and the Department of Pyrénées Atlantiques. Malandain Ballet Biarritz is also supported by European programmes, such as Poctefa or Fonds Aquitaine-Euskadi, for the Euro-regional project "Ballet T", undertaken in partnership with the Teatro Victoria Eugenia in San Sebastián.

Over the last five years, public funding has been representing on average 50% of the total operating costs. The sales of the shows, the transmission of Thierry Malandain's works to other companies as well as patronage generate half of the Malandain Ballet Biarritz incomes.

The Malandain Ballet Biarritz budget totalled 4,2 millions of euros in 2017.
